Umhlanga Restaurants

The Grill Room

Sublime and a very special restaurant is how I would describe this outstanding fine dining venue. If you enjoy Chateaubriand, it’s a masterpiece. The seafood platter provides a selection of the very best seafood, elegantly presented, and best described as: ‘food fit for a king’

Turn ‘n Tender

An institution in Umhlanga. The Turn ‘n Tender has been serving up fine steaks and other treats for many a year. This legendary Steakhouse offers diners a selection of mouth-watering steaks, burgers and other tasty treats.

To start, try the ‘Biltong Pate’, it’s delicious or the peri-peri pan-fried chicken livers, they’re my favourite. For mains be brave, if you’re really hungry, try settle the 600g French-trimmed prime rib. It may take a while, but it will be well worth the effort. The burgers too are delicious, especially the pepper burger.

Lupa Osteria

Lupa Osteria is a lovely family Italian restaurant offering a selection of pizza, pasta and awesome seafood dishes. This restaurant offers a great ambiance. You will find Lupa close to the Oyster Box hotel and you can expect a warm welcome from the friendly team.

The restaurant offers an inviting bar where you can enjoy a cocktail, a craft beer and a tasty pizza. Lupa prepares homemade pasta and their pizza is expertly crafted in a wood fired oven – delicious.

Ile Maurice

The Ile Maurice is an award-winning French and Mauritian inspired fine dining restaurant, offering the very best cuisine in a romantic setting. Specialities include delicious seafood dishes and a selection of expertly crafted French cuisine.

Watch the sunset with a sundowner on the terrace upstairs taking in the magnificent vistas. Tuck into a selection of Mauritian inspired dishes from curry to the ever-popular Langoustines.
